AT&T Heritage Calendar: Celebrating
the North Carolina Black Experience
The North Carolina Heritage Calendar celebrates the lives and work of North Carolinians who have dedicated themselves to advancing civil rights in the state. For the calendar, I interviewed a Tuskegee Airman and his wife, a former state senator, and the son of a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist. Their biographies were included in the calendar, as well as an online lesson plan available to public school educators in North Carolina.

Piedmont Health Services

As a public relations intern for Piedmont Health Services, I worked with a team to create press releases, FAQs, and infographics for the community health organization. The intern team also worked to increase social media presence and blog traffic, and reformatted much of the company's website to be more user-friendly.
The Odyssey
Working as a staff writer, I wrote the fashion section for the weekly, student-run publication.The Odyssey is distributed to more than 25 Greek organizations on campus, and has an estimated readership of 2,600. In addition to writing, I worked to increase community connections and sponsorship.
VIF International Education
As a Public Relations and Communications intern for VIF International Education I managed organization affiliated social media accounts, and worked with the marketing team to create corporate blog content, press releases, case studies, and presentations.
